The Albion Foundation and Sporting Club Albion - Women’s Performance Programme is proposed to start in September 2011.
The programme is aimed at female players who are looking to continue in Further Education whilst also developing their performance.
Female players aged 16 – 18 will have the opportunity to study for a BTEC in Sport, at a level appropriate to their educational needs and continue with their performance development within a professional football environment.
This will be the first Women’ Performance Programme with a link to the football club of its kind in the West Midlands. Player’s studies will be combined with practice sessions at the indoor dome and sports hall and games in the British Colleges Sport league and cup programme. Players will also have the opportunity to represent Sporting Club Albion teams.
Initially we would like to invite anyone interested to attend an open evening at The Albion Foundation building (details below):
